POP3 email setup in Outlook

POP3 setup in Outlook

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Under File open Account Settings
  3. Select email account - double click to open Popup window
  4. Image 1 - Follow sequence to the right
    1. Enter your name for the account
    2. Enter the email address
    3. Account type - select POP3
    4. Incoming = mail.yourdomain.com.au
    5. Outgoing = mail.yourdomain.com.au
    6. Remember password ticked
    7. Require logon unticked
    8. Click on more Setting to go to image 2
  5. Image 2 - must look the same Outgoing server tab
  6. Image 3 - must look the same Advance tab
    1. Incoming server port - 995
    2. Tick the Server required encrypted connection box
    3. Outgoing server port - 465
    4. Use following type encrypted - SSL/TLS
    5. Tick the Leave a copy of message on server box
    6. Remove off server after -  14 days 
    7. Click on OK
    8. Test Account Settings ( you should get 2 ticks)
    9. Click on Next this will confirm all is ok.
  7. All done
