Udo Support

NOTE:
There are many different types of products that Udo can handle, for example we can have a Virtual product, simple product, product with mulitple options. The information that is required will depend on the product type.

1. Login to your Udo website admin
2. Click on the Products tab in the left menu.
3. To create a new product you can either: Dulpicate an existing product or click on the "New Product" button top left (Green)
   1. To Duplicate a product, Double click on an existing product to open
   2. Click on the Duplicate button top right of screen (Blue)
   3. Update the product name (Title), Summary, Titlebar and the information to the new product information.
   4. If you have an image for the product then you can drag the image from either your computer or from the media section into the "Linked Items" area. 
   5. To add the product to a particular category then click on "Categories" in the left menu under Products  and drag the category into the "Linked Items" area,
   6. Go live
   7. Check from front end
4.  To create a new product click on the "New Product" button top left (Green) Hint: open existing product and follow.
   1. Fill out the fields available with your product information information.
   2. Check on an existing product to make sure you have filled in all the important fileds.
   3. If you have an image for the product then you can drag the image from either your computer or from the media section into the "Linked Items" area. 
   4. Top add the product to a particular category then click on "Categories" in the left menu under Products  and drag the category into the "Linked Items" area,
   5. Go live to  save
   6. Check from front end.
5. Check on the front end to make sure everything is as you wanted.

To upload multiple products we use .csv files. This is a fast way of populating a large amount of products in minutes, whether 50 or 10,0000. The most important thing here is the integrity of the data. You can import mulitple images to automatically linking to the product saving you a lot of time. See below.

1. Login to your Udo website admin
2. Click on Products tab in the left hand menu
3. Click on the "Import" button top menu (Blue)
4. From the drop down select products
5. Click on the "Browse File" to find your product .csv file
6. Scroll down and click on the "Next" button (Green)
7. Click on the "Next Step" button (Green)
8. Click on the "Import Now" button.

1. Login to your Udo website admin
2. Click on Products tab in the left hand menu
3. Click on the "Import" button top menu (Blue)
4. From the drop down select products
5. Select the images that you want to upload and drag into the white area just below the drop down and drop. 
6. There are 2 options to choose from here, you need to select 1.
   1. Match Code to start of filename with an underscore _
      (i.e.RED-T-CODE_My Red Shirt - Front.jpg)
   2. Match code to whole name
      (i.e the name of image is the whole code)
7. Images will upload automatically
8. You can close all tabs or if you want to increase the SEO potential then create individual ALT text for each image explaining what it is.

NOTE:
Images must have the product code in the name of the image to match the product. This is what creates the link. To improve the SEO on images  make sure the name explains what the image is.
